10/18/2010 - Phase 1 Complete!

Our initial work day in the cemetery was a huge success. We planted exactly 48 Dark and Light Pink Crepe Myrtles along the perimeter and entrance driveway of the site. We're now working on final budgets and plans for the next phases, which include additional landscaping, fencing, lighting and signage. More info coming soon!

10/11/2010 - Phase 1 In Action!

Our first phase of improvements to the cemetery will be put into action during the city-wide clean-up on October 16. This will include an initial clean-up of any litter and debris, trimming of some of the trees on the perimeter of the property and planting over 50 dark pink Crepe Myrtles.

8/26/2010 - We Have A Plan!

The churches have made their final decisions on trees, fencing, lighting and signage. We are working on a budget for the multiple phases of this plan. A volunteer resident has been working on spraying for poison ivy throughout the site in anticipation of the coming volunteer work days.

7/27/2010 - Tender Beginnings
This project is in the planning phase. UL Architecture Students are creating renderings of the proposed project results to share with the churches for their feedback. These renderings will be posted to the site as soon as they are approved and available.
